Bills linebacker Baylon Spector’s wife Ryleigh took aim at Taylor Swift following Buffalo’s 30-21 win over the Kansas City Chiefs, sparking a fierce response on social media. Buffalo Bills linebacker Baylon Spector’s wife, Ryleigh, has a bone to pick with Taylor Swift.
On Sunday, the Bills crushed the Chiefs’ hopes of a perfect season, handing Kansas City its first loss of the year via a 30-21 defeat. Swift was notably not amongst the sea of fans at Highmark Stadium, despite rumors suggesting she could attend the game thanks to a break in her Eras Tour concerts in Toronto.
Though Swift was not in attendance to cheer on her boyfriend, Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, it didn’t take long for her to be dragged into the AFC clash. Taking to social media following Buffalo’s victory, Ryleigh congratulated the Bills on their stellar 9-2 record – while additionally directing an unsubtle dig at the pop icon.
The verbal jab promptly generated a flurry of responses from angered Swifties who blasted Ryleigh for calling out Swift. “If it wasn’t for Low Class… She would have NO CLASS. Do better,” one X user wrote, with another adding: “She obviously has a very low self-esteem to go out of her way to put down Taylor Swift. When I read all this —- I think I’m back in high school.”
A third said: “Jealous?! Taylor has more class in her little finger than you all have. Why the need to add this?”
This wasn’t the only time that Swift found herself embroiled in a controversy pertaining to the Chiefs-Bills game. In the leadup to the faceoff between two of the NFL’s juggernauts, many people online surmised that the songstress had a direct impact on the league’s schedule.
One day before the contest, Swift graced the stage at Toronto’s Rogers Centre, which sits just over 100 miles away from the Bills’ stadium. Although she didn’t end up attending Sunday’s game, a four-day break in between her series of six concerts gave her the opportunity to cheer on Kelce in-person.
Back in May, Dan Patrick floated the idea that the NFL purposefully built its games around Swift after the 2024 NFL Schedule was released. “This was brought up yesterday, I believe, or maybe the day before. Would the NFL look at Taylor Swift’s concert tour? And do they schedule the game accordingly?” he said on the ‘Dan Patrick Show.’
