EXCLUSIVE:NFL Reaches Punishment Decision After Patrick Mahomes Incident vs Colts
Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs appeared to get back in the AFC playoff race with a win over the Indianapolis Colts in Week 12.
After facing a 20-9 deficit in the fourth quarter, Mahomes and company capped off an epic comeback en route to a 23-20 victory. The win moved the Chiefs to 6-5 on the season and within striking distance of a playoff spot in the AFC, despite dropping one spot in the standings.
“This is exactly what we needed, to win against a really good team and the game is not going your way,” Mahomes said after the game. “You could’ve folded in that situation — and kind of the rest of the season — but guys responded. It was a do-or-die type of thing. Guys made plays happen.”
One member of the Colts suffered a double loss in the contest, though.

Former first-round pick Laiatu Latu started his game against Mahomes and the Chiefs on the right page, intercepting a pass from the star quarterback. However, with 32 seconds left in the first half, Latu was flagged for roughing the passer on the three-time Super Bowl champion.
