Simone Biles Opens Up About Getting a Breast Augmentation and Two Other Cosmetic Procedures
“Social media is not real, so that’s why I try to be as transparent as possible.”
Simone Biles opened up about her recent breast augmentation in an exclusive interview with People.
The Olympic gymnast also explained the two other cosmetic procedures she’s had done.
Ultimately, Biles said, “as long as you love yourself, that’s really all that matters.”
Following a cheeky nod to her boob job last month, Simone Biles is clarifying exactly what work she’s had done. The Olympic gymnast sat down for an exclusive interview with People and confirmed that she did indeed get a breast augmentation, along with two other cosmetic procedures.
“Seeing me win medals at the Olympics, that’s not relatable,” Biles told the publication. “But what is relatable is how we feel about ourselves, what we talk about, what we go through and how we share openly, honestly. And so that’s why I decided to share it.”
Biles then explained that, other than her new boobs, the surgeries are “things you would never notice.” The 28-year-old told People she underwent a lower blepharoplasty to remove excess eyelid skin and had an earlobe surgery to repair her earlobe after an earring was ripped out.
“I got a lower bleph because me and my family have, I call it the ‘Biles eye bags,'” she explained. “We’ve just always had them, hereditary, and so that was just a big flaw…So it’s something that I wanted to fix.”
As for her breast augmentation, the athlete explained that “it’s just feeling good about yourself and loving yourself, and I’ve always been very vocal about that.”
“I also think it shows young girls that they have the right to their own choices, whatever they are, and that’s no shame added as well,” she said. “I feel like nowadays with social media, you see everyone and you’re like, ‘Oh my God, how does she look so good?'”
“Social media is not real, so that’s why I try to be as transparent as possible,” Biles added. “As long as you love yourself, that’s really all that matters.”
