Chris Jones Shares Disappointment With NFL Top 100 Position Amidst Contract Holdout as fines

Chris Jones Will End Contract Dispute

Chris Jones of the Kansas City Chiefs was placed 10th on the “NFL Top 100” list for the 2023 season. The annual television show ranks the league’s top players as voted on by their NFL colleagues, who compile their lists of the league’s top 100 players.

Kansas City did not choose a single player in the first 90 picks, but they did get on the board with Jones’ selection at the 10th slot. Though he was the first Chief to reach the list, the reigning MVP, Patrick Mahomes, is projected to be placed in the top three, and we here at Chiefs Wire believe he will not be ranked second or third.

Jones’ selection is likely justified, but his continued absence from Kansas City’s training camp dampens the excitement around his position in the rankings.

Chiefs fans have yet to see Jones work out with his teammates in St. Joseph, and until he does, there isn’t much to say about his outlook for the 2023 season or what an accolade like this may mean for him.
