The Kansas City Chiefs’ bye week is officially a thing of the past. Andy Reid’s squad is soon back in action on Monday Night Football to cap off Week 11, hosting the Philadelphia Eagles in a rematch of the two teams that played in Super Bowl LVII.
In the last outing between Kansas City and Philadelphia, it was Jalen Hurts and the Eagles’ offense that jumped out to a lead. In the second half, however, Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs came storming back and ultimately secured their second championship of this era in franchise history. The stakes may be much lower this time around, but this is still a significant game for both sides.
For the Chiefs, a win helps them keep pace atop the AFC and also send a message that they can hang with the proverbial top dogs in the NFL. For the Eagles, stealing a win on the road would keep Nick Sirianni’s team as the only one-loss organization in the NFL and maintain some distance between Philadelphia and the rest of its conference. This is shaping up to be one of the best games of the 2023-24 campaign, and it’s almost here.
