Eagles defeat Chiefs in Super Bowl rematch
The Philadelphia Eagles were able to get revenge for their loss in the Super Bowl.

Jalen Hurts scored two rushing touchdowns as the Philadelphia Eagles edged the Kansas City Chiefs, 21-17, on Monday night at Arrowhead Stadium.

The win improves the Birds to 9-1 on the season.

The Eagles will face the Buffalo Bills next week at Lincoln Financial Field.

Eagles take lead
It’s been ugly, but somehow, the Eagles just took the lead.

Jalen Hurts scored on the “Brotherly Shove” to give the Birds a 21-17 lead with 6:55 left in the fourth quarter.

Now, Patrick Mahomes and Kansas City Chiefs will take over with a chance to respond.

Travis Kelce fumbles; Eagles recover
The Eagles’ defense forced a massive turnover as the Chiefs were threatening to score in the red zone in the fourth quarter.

Cornerback Bradley Roby punched the ball out of Kelce’s hands to force the fumble, which was recovred by Nicholas Morrow.

Jalen Hurts TD cuts Chiefs’ lead
The Eagles have life.

Jalen Hurts scored on a 10-yard rushing touchdown to make it, 17-14, with 4:05 left in the third quarter.

D’Andre Swift had a massive run to set up the touchdown. He scampered for 35 yards on a sweep to get the Birds deep into Eagles territory.

TE Grant Calcaterra injured
Eagles tight end Grant Calcaterra is questionable to return with an injury, the team said.

The Birds are already without starting tight end Dallas Goedert.

Eagles off to slow start in second half
The Eagles started the second half with the ball, but they weren’t able to get anything rolling on offense against Chiefs.

Both of the Birds first two drives went three-and-out, including one with a questionable third down play call.

In 1-yard situations, the Eagles have ran the “Brotherly Shove” without hesitation. But this time, the Eagles handed it to Swift, which resulted in a loss and led to a punt.

For a team with A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith on the outside, it was an odd one, especially when you consider Jalen Hurts has been playing banged up.

They’re still only down by 10 points, so maybe they can get something going eventually. But thus far, it hasn’t been pretty.

Chiefs lead Eagles at halftime
After an ugly rainy half of football, the Chiefs lead the Eagles, 17-7, on Monday night at Arrowhead Stadium.

Jalen Hurts and Patrick Mahomes have each tossed interceptions and both offenses have been up and down thus far.

Hurts was under constant pressure in the first half. He’s been sacked five times, fumbled and tossed an interception. Overall, he’s completed 5 of his 7 passes for 46 yards.

Travis Kelce’s 4-yard touchdown reception gave the Chiefs a 14-7 lead over the Birds late in the second quarter. Justin Watson scored for the Chiefs early in the first quarter on a 3-yard touchdown pass from Mahomes.

Entering the game, the Eagles had one of the best-rushing defenses in the league, but they haven’t been able to slow down Kansas City’s rushing attack on Monday night.

Chiefs tailback Isiah Pacheco has 66 yards on 12 carries and Mahomes has scampered for 29 yards as he continues to be a pain for Philadelphia’s defensive lineman. The Chiefs have recorded 121 total rushing yards through two quarters.

Meanwhile, D’Andre Swift and DeVonta Smith have been the only positives for the Birds’ offense.

Swift scored Philadelphia’s lone touchdown to tie the game in the first quarter to go along with 47 yards on eight carries. Smith leads the Birds in receiving with 31 yards on two catches.

Travis Kelce TD gives Chiefs lead

Overall, Kelce has been pretty quiet so far. He’s got two catches for 11 yards so far to go along with his touchdown.
