JUST IN: Prince William is making a grave mistake by pushing his younger brother Harry away, says Princess Diana confidant..See More đ
According to Brown, a former Vanity Fair editor with close ties to Princess Diana, Williamâs comments seemed dismissive of King Charlesâs decades of work.
He talked about âimpact philanthropy, collaboration, and helping peopleâ â essentially everything his father has dedicated 50 years to,â Brown wrote in her Fresh Hell blog. She went on to call Williamâs remarks about wanting âto throw some empathy in thereâ as âperformative.â
Brown is convinced that Harry, once known for playfully calling his brother âHaroldâ and pulling him down a peg, helped balance Williamâs more reserved personality.
With their relationship fractured and no communication between the brothers, William is now, according to Brown, âsurrounded by sycophantsâ â and it shows. âIn happier times, Harry was the irreverent voice who could tease William and keep him grounded,â she added.
Brownâs take on the Sussexes has been equally scathing. Last month, she described Prince Harry and Meghan Markleâs departure from royal life as a âdisaster,â criticizing Meghanâs âflawless judgment for getting it all wrong.â
As Prince William prepares for his future role in the monarchy, heâs unveiling plans that have raised some eyebrows â and one royal expert argues he may need his estranged brother Harry by his side more than ever.
During his recent trip to South Africa for the Earthshot Prize, William discussed his vision to âdo things differentlyâ with âa smaller ârâ in royal.â But this approach has sparked criticism from Tina Brown, a noted royal biographer, who believes Harry was essential in keeping William grounded.
