JUST IN: Meghan Markle grapples with sad death in Netflix show as she shares heartbreaking regret

Meghan Markle’s new Netflix series, With Love, Meghan, has finally landed. While the show is mostly glossy moments filled with fruit platters and gushing about parenthood, the duchess also opens up about heartbreak. Meghan Markle’s new Netflix show is a glossy celebration of all things cooking, but one candid moment sees her open up about a sad loss.
Gardening is one of the main focuses of the new series, With Love, Meghan, and the duchess recalls learning about different flowers while at school – but she also reveals the man who taught her the basics has now sadly passed away. Paying tribute to her old science teacher Mr Benn, the duchess shares her regret at never reaching out to him after learning about his recent death.
In the show, she tells actress and producer Mindy Kaling: “I learned about them when I went to Hollywood Schoolhouse and I had a science class. We spent a lot of time in the garden, and I learnt from Mr Benn. Mr Benn was my teacher. “I just learnt recently that he passed away and I wish I had told Mr Benn how much it meant to me and how much I learnt and how much I retained. He taught me how to compost and about the garden. You grow up and you think wow, those things you learn when you’re young.”
Meghan attended the Little Red School House – now called the Hollywood Schoolhouse – in LA between the ages of two and 11. She was at the prestigious private nursery and kindergarten at the same time as Scarlett Johansson.
It’s still a firm favorite with celebrities and where many big names send their children.
Meghan later moved to Immaculate Heart High School, which costs more than $15,000 a year. The moving scene appears in the second episode of With Love, Meghan, which sees the duchess prepare for a children’s party with Mindy, who she first met when hosting her podcast Archetypes.
