“Classy and correct”: Travis Kelce and Taylor swift set the Net on fire after disagreement arose

IF THERE’S ONE thing Taylor Swift is going to do, it’s commit to the bit and see where it goes. On Sunday night, the singer attended the Kansas City Chiefs home game against the Chicago Bears at Arrowhead Stadium. Swift attending a football game could count as a bit all on its own, but it was her being buddied up with Travis Kelce‘s mom the whole night amid rumors that she’s dating the tight end that really shifted Twitter (or X, whatever you want to call it) into comedy mode.

Before Swifties could really get into the festivities, some needed to be caught up to speed on how this game actually works. One fan account Tweeted out a quick crash course breaking down who gets to keep the ball for how long, and how a touchdown is scored (this will come in handy later). “‘you forgot xyz’ baby we are simply watching for taylor swift’s lil reactions,” the account posted when the Tweet made its way to the Real Football Fan sector of the site. “No one who doesn’t plan on watching regularly needed to know any of that other stuff 😭”

When Kelce scored a touchdown (something we can now understand thanks to Twitter user HolyGroundSound), the internet was gifted the ultimate reaction video in Swift screaming out: “Let’s fucking go!” On the field, his teammate Patrick Mahomes revealed the team’s game plan to help him impress her, telling reporter Erin Andrews: “I heard she was in the house… so I knew I had to get the ball to Travis.” In other words, as one Swiftie joked, “He lets Travis bejeweled.”

As some users pointed out, it was essentially the IRL version of Gabriella emerging from a sea of red in the bleachers for an impromptu duet with Troy Bolton in High School Musical. It really did seem like something out of a movie seeing Twitter flood with videos of professional football players reacting to Swift being in their presence as though they had seen a new color for the first time. As much as that stadium is their home base, Swift has performed there multiple times — including on the Speak Now tour twelve years ago to the date that she pulled up to cheer on Kelce.

After the game, Swift left the stadium in the passenger seat of Kelce’s convertible because, of course, they didn’t just get into a black car — this is about fully committing to the bit. “I just know Travis has Taylor fighting for her life at a Buffalo Wild Wings in butt fuck Missouri rn,” one Swiftie tweeted.
