Meghan Markle gave her followers a rare insight into her home life with her daughter Lilibet, posting an adorable clip of the three-year-old. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have attempted to keep their lives pretty private since stepping away from their roles as senior royals in 2020.

They have seemingly made every effort to keep their children – Archie and Lilibet – out of the public eye, contrasting with other royal children who are seen out and about at public engagements. A new picture is also usually released each year on their birthday.

However, ahead of the release of Meghan’s new Netflix show tomorrow (4 March) – With Love, Meghan – the duchess shared a rare clip of her little girl playing with a close family friend on her Instagram Story. But the friend wasn’t just anyone – tennis sensation Serena Williams, who Meghan first met in 2010 at the Super Bowl, was hanging out with the family.

In the clip, Lilibet could be seen dressed in pink and playing the childhood game, Candy Land, with Serena. The classic game was personalized for the children, with the title reading Archie & Lili Candy Land. Alongside another picture of her embracing the sports star, Meghan added: “3 days until the party begins. All are invited @Netflix.”

Since returning to the social media platform on New Year’s Day, Meghan has given fans more of an insight into her life. As well as the release of her show, sharing her cooking, hosting, and gardening tips with celebrity guests, Meghan is also launching a lifestyle brand.

Announcing the news on her Instagram, she noted that ‘As Ever’ will sell ‘fruit preserves’ and ‘non-medicated hair preparations’, as well as candles, stationery, and jewellery. Meghan said: “As Ever essentially means as it’s always been, and if you’ve followed me since 2014 with The Tig, you know I’ve always loved cooking and crafting and gardening – this is what I do.”

She closed down her passion project, The Tig, in 2017, a year before her royal wedding, despite noting that it had ‘evolved into an amazing community of inspiration, support, fun and frivolity’. Meghan appeared to reference certain sacrifices she made to be part of the royal family, when she married Prince Harry in 2018.
