Taylor Swift may have put Kansas City Chiefs TE Travis Kelce on the map, but he’s about to go intergalactic with his stardom.

Travis Kelce revealed on the latest episode of his "New Heights Show" podcast that he'd officially been approached by Elon Musk's SpaceX about arranging a spaceflight. "I think this is one of the craziest things we've ...

We’ve talked plenty about Kelce reaching statistical heights that no Chiefs player has before, but now he’s going to reach literal heights that no player in franchise history has before. Kelce revealed on the latest episode of his “New Heights Show” podcast that he’d officially been approached by Elon Musk’s SpaceX about arranging a spaceflight.

“I think this is one of the craziest things we’ve know spoken into existence,” Travis Kelce proclaimed. “It’s an email from the SpaceX Spaceflight team.”

“I still can’t believe this is happening,” Jason Kelce said.

“Yeah, no, I hope it doesn’t implode,” Travis responded. “Because it sounds like I’m about to go to space.”

“So you’re really going to do it?” Jason asked.

“Why wouldn’t I? I want to go to space. I want to see once and for all whether the world is flat or round,” Travis joked.

The joking didn’t stop there. . .

“Imagine if I went up there and I saw an alien,” Travis pondered. “Like an alien just decided to creep over to the spaceship.”

“See this is why you shouldn’t go on a spaceship,” Jason said. “This is what you’re going into space expecting to see an alien.”

Needless to say, Jason wouldn’t be joining him in space, he’d prefer to stay on the ground.

“I’m not going to space,” Jason said. “I like being on the ground with my cybertruck.”

No Kelce won’t become the first NFL player to ever go to space. Leland Melvin, who was drafted by the Detroit Lions in 1986, flew two missions for NASA on the Space Shuttle Atlantis in 2008 and 2009. Former Giants DE Michael Strahan also went to space on a Blue Origin mission in Oct. of 2021.

Kelce could become the first active NFL player to go to space if he happens to get this planned before the end of his playing career. If Brett Veach won’t approve Patrick Mahomes to play a game of pickup basketball, who knows if he’ll actually let Kelce go to space? He might have to amend his contract to make that happen.
