Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce may be in offseason mode after the Kansas City Chiefs’ 2025 campaign, but the star duo is still collecting wins — just not on the field. The longtime teammates recently earned major recognition for their Kansas City steakhouse, 1587 Prime, which was highlighted by Robb Report as one of the most beautiful new restaurants in America in 2025.

Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce’s 1587 Prime Earns Major Robb Report Recognition

Mahomes, 30, and Kelce, 36, opened 1587 Prime in mid-September inside Loews Kansas City Hotel. The restaurant’s name combines the players’ jersey numbers — Mahomes’ No. 15 and Kelce’s No. 87 — and the space was designed with subtle football-inspired details throughout.

Robb Report contributor Nicole Hoey included 1587 Prime on her curated list of the “21 most beautiful new restaurants in America of 2025,” describing the space as elevated and immersive without going over the top.

“Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes stepped off the field for their latest venture, teaming up to open a new steakhouse in the Chiefs‘ home city, and, as you’d expect, there are subtle nods to football throughout the nearly 10,000-square-foot 1587 Prime,” Hoey wrote.

She noted that guests enter through a dark hallway that resembles a stadium tunnel. “You enter the space through a dark corridor, akin to running through the tunnel before a big game,” Hoey wrote, adding that the lighting resembles “the Xs and Os in a playbook,” while “brass inlay markers delineate yards on the floor.”

Hoey added that the design avoids being too on the nose. “But it’s not too heavy-handed, leading to a striking space as electric as the players behind it,” she wrote.

Inside the Steakhouse: Menu Details and the Vision for 1587 Prime

The restaurant has also drawn attention for its upscale menu. Executive chef Ryan Arnold created a lineup of steakhouse classics with high-end upgrades, including Japanese A5 New York strip, boneless ribeye, and a 40-ounce Wagyu tomahawk served tableside. The steak options also include add-ons like lobster tail, crab, bone marrow, or blue cheese.

The menu features dishes beyond the everyday steakhouse staples, including steak tartare made with hand-cut wagyu, egg yolk, truffle aioli, crispy capers, and toasted sourdough. Another standout is the 1587 twice-baked potato, which includes smoked gouda, crème fraîche, beef bacon, chives, and black truffle.

The restaurant’s team previously emphasized that the goal was to create something Kansas City could claim proudly — not just a celebrity-backed business.

“With 1587 Prime, we didn’t just set out to create another steakhouse,” Noble 33 co-founder Tosh Berman said in a statement. “We worked with Patrick and Travis to capture the essence of Kansas City—its pride, its hospitality, and its passion for great food—while staying true to Noble 33’s brand vision and design aesthetic.”

1587 Prime also leans into nightlife and experience. The ground-floor space includes live music, a bar for roughly 20 guests, and intimate seating throughout the dining room. A grand staircase leads to additional semi-private and private dining spaces, and there is also a discreet VIP entrance — a feature that makes sense given the restaurant’s high-profile owners.

Kelce’s relationship with Taylor Swift has also helped draw attention to the new restaurant. Ahead of the official opening, Page Six reported that Swift and Kelce were seen arriving “hand in hand” for the soft opening.

The report described the pair as “low-key but affectionate,” as they checked out the new spot tied to Kelce’s latest business venture.
