‘Diddy’s fault’: Jennifer Lopez’s first husband Ojani Noa claims their marriage failed due to her connection with the embattled rapper
Ojani Noa, Jennifer Lopez‘s first husband, partially blames Diddy for their divorce.
The 50-year-old actor recently appeared on Despierta America and he opened up about the downfall of his and Lopez’s relationship. “Part of that divorce was Diddy’s fault,” Noa stated in Spanish when asked about the split. They were married from 1997 until 1998.
Noa explained, “When Sony came and paid her the millions she got, there was Puffy [Sean Combs], who was going to be one of the producers of several tracks on the first album, On The 6. That’s where the deception, the lies, the separation started.”
During that time, the couple was long-distance with him being in Los Angeles opening a restaurant while Lopez was between Miami and New York City, working on her album. Noa believed that distance, deception, and Diddy led to their unfortunate demise. He also accused their marriage of ruining his career.
He detailed, “I would ask Jennifer, ‘What did I do to you so that you have taken me to court, you have accused me, you have lied, you have created false things about me and you have called several companies to throw me out and different television networks not to give me work?’ Why, if I have not done anything to you? Let her tell the truth, let her tell everything that happened.”
After Noa, Lopez dated Diddy from 1999 until 2001. She hasn’t addressed his recent arrest and countless sexual assault allegations considering she’s currently dealing with her own personal issue—her divorce from Ben Affleck.
