Travis Kelce Shares 1 Unexpected Perk of Dating Taylor Swift: ‘It’s Been Pretty Cool’

Travis Kelce is loving one unplanned bonus of his relationship with wife Taylor Swift.

During the Wednesday, Oct. 21 episode of his New Heights podcast, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end, 37, was asked by his older brother Jason, 38, how many more Chiefs fans there were since he started dating Swift in 2023.

“I will say this,” Travis began, before struggling to find the words, saying, “I have a lot more people coming up to me expressing their — not necessarily their love for the Chiefs — but their… What am I… What words am I trying to use, ‘Travis? Use your words. Use your words, Travis!’ ”

The NFL star then outlined exactly what he was trying to say, adding, “Expressing their stories of them and their daughters having a moment of watching football together. And that has been undoubtedly the majority of people that come up to me that talk football just off the street.”

The podcast co-host said that he gets “a lot of thanks” for the additional bonds between fathers and daughters over football, calling it “pretty cool.”

“I didn’t have that one on the guard when I started dating Tay, let alone asked her to marry me, but it’s been pretty cool to see the influx of Chiefs fans outside of all the Super Bowl appearances and all that,” Travis shared.

Swift, who has been a regular at Chiefs games since she started dating Travis a few years ago, was seen in the stands for the team’s most recent victory over the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday, Oct. 18.

Travis popped the question to Swift in August 2025 and the pair tied the knot at Madison Square Garden on July 3 of this year.

Despite Swift knowing very little about football prior to her relationship with Travis, the professional athlete previously shared that his wife is very much in the know these days.

“Now she knows everything,” Travis said of Swift on a September episode of the podcast. “She sees the flags coming in. Like, ‘Oh, that might be a defensive hold.’ Like, ‘What’d you say, sweetie?’ She’s like, ‘That’s encroachment.’ I’m like, ‘You know what that is?’ She’s on it now. She got fully engulfed in it.”

Retired Philadelphia Eagles center Jason also praised his sister-in-law at the time, saying, “That’s one of the things that was so enjoyable meeting her at the Bills game and seeing how much Tay’s into football. Asking questions, really trying to… and now it’s been a few years since that, so.”

“Oh, she’s in, so far,” Travis insisted.
