City CEO tells staff club will fight Premier League case “with every legal avenue”Manchester City chief executive Ferran Soriano has sent a video message to club staff insisting the club will keep fighting the Premier League and explore every legal option available.

The three-minute recording, circulated internally on Tuesday, comes days after reports that an independent commission found City in breach of the vast majority of 115 financial charges. City deny wrongdoing and have already signalled they will appeal.

In the message, Soriano said the league’s case rests on a single “completely false” accusation about disguised sponsorships. He added that City had submitted “irrefutable evidence,” including bank statements, money transfers and witness testimony, to show the money did not come from the club’s owner. He also referred to a “Premier League conspiracy theory.”
