After a terrorist threat shut down Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour in Vienna, Austria, a large group of Swifties gathered in the street to make their voices heard. The public demonstration flew in the face of the ISIS-inspired villains, risking possible retaliation to send them a message.
On Wednesday, two men were arrested for plotting a terror attack at a Taylor Swift concert in Vienna. Swift’s three concerts in Vienna have been cancelled following the alleged terrorist plot.
The police believe the suspects had undertaken specific preparatory actions for a terrorist attack and suspect explosives were stored at the 19-year-old’s residence in Ternitz, Lower Austria. Her large fan base proved its spirit could not be broken, filling Cornelia Street with the sound of a classic Swift anthem, “Cruel Summer.”
The scene was complete with a friendship bracelet trading spot, which handed out so many that the policemen on watch ended up adorned in the traditional Swiftie regalia. One heavily-liked response to a video from the scene on X was one of continued fear: “#Swifties need to take a step back and process this… Right now a large crowd of people is the target of a dangerous terr*rist group & you come together singing in the streets.”
