A prime example of this is Prince Harry’s upcoming visit to England. In May, Prince Harry, accompanied by Meghan Markle, is scheduled to return to London for a special event related to the Invictus Games at St. Paul’s Cathedral on May 8.

As announced in his interview on Good Morning America, Prince Harry has chosen to visit his father, who is battling cancer.

Is there hope for a reconciliation?
The Prince, who has spent the last four years criticizing the royals for every decision, revelation, and policy, now appears to value family ties.Prince Harry has outlined plans to reconnect with his affectionate “Pa.”

However, King Charles has decided that the era of being a naïve and perpetually forgiving father to Spare has come to an end.

Prince Harry’s actions have damaged Queen consort Camilla’s reputation and character. His Majesty also harbors concerns about Prince Harry’s habit of continually leaking and selling private information to the highest bidder.

For these reasons, King Charles has opted to reciprocate by further limiting Prince Harry’s access, a move that is likely to bruise his ego and standing.

According to reports, if King Charles grants his youngest son a visit in May, it will be briefer and more controlled than before.

Earlier this year, Prince Harry hurried to London to support his father after his cancer diagnosis was made public. The meeting lasted less than 30 minutes.

It is reported that staff members and Queen consort Camilla were present during the brief encounter. According to royal author Tom Quinn, King Charles will meet with his son because he is “more forgiving” toward him than his older brother, Prince William, especially given Harry’s challenging upbringing for which Charles feels partly responsible.

Quinn elaborated on why the meeting between Prince Harry and King Charles will be brief: “The encounter between Harry and King Charles will be brief and formal, as any difficult conversations could be aired widely when Harry returns to the States.”

He concluded by shedding light on the strained relationship between father and son: “Just as with his relationship with William, Harry’s bond with his father has been severely strained by the publication of Spare and Harry and Meghan’s various interviews; both William and Charles are always wary that any private conversation with Harry could be made public.”
